Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) is a Cisco-proprietary hybrid routing protocol that contains features of distance-vector and link-state routing protocols. EIGRP maintains all of the advantages of distance-vector protocols, while avoiding the concurrent disadvantages.
